Allegoro Communications was founded by Sohini Bhattacharya and
Naresh Vempala, a team who have over 20 years of combined Industry and Writing experience. After having worked in the field of Information Technology, Academia and Public Relations, they together formed Allegoro Communications, which is a culmination of their well-honed skills and expertise.
SOHINI is a freelance writer with two Master’s degrees, in English Literature and Communication & Media Studies. She also specializes in content, copy and grant writing. With her flair for creativity, she is able to think without a box while having a firm grasp of the reality.
Over the years, she has written for a variety of clients, publications and industry bases such as Art Galleries, Non-Profits, Government, Real Estate, Technology, Restaurants, Academic, and others. During this course, she has developed strong, mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationships with her clients, the media and industry leaders. She is a social media buff and believes in the strength of community building, both online and off. Her pet peeves are grammatical errors and typos.
She prides herself on her time management, multi-tasking and management skills. When she is not at her desk writing, you can find her dreaming of climbing Mt. Everest or scheduling her next book club meeting.
NARESH is a Research Scientist and Data Analyst who has worked extensively in managing scientific projects both within industry and academia. He has successfully translated scientific research into innovative technological solutions for his industry clients. Through his combined experience in industry and academia, he brings a unique blend of skills that include scientific and technical writing, reviewing, and project management.
Having started his career as a software developer he has an acute understanding of all the phases in the life-cycle of technology-based industry projects. He has been directly instrumental in acquiring over $900,000 of industry/government funding for his projects.
With a PhD in Cognitive Science, Naresh has a proven understanding of how people think, and what makes them connect. This interest, along with his painstaking attention to detail has helped him foster collaborative ecosystems within Toronto by organizing workshops and networking events.
Along with Allegoro Communications, he also manages CogMIR, a scientific society of researchers and software professionals in music information retrieval. Naresh also moonlights as a musician and has a guitar pick at the ready, should the opportunity present itself.
