18 Mar Small businesses need an online presence now more than ever!
According to the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), approximately 59% of small businesses in Canada do not have a website. This article in Canadian Business provides more interesting figures from the CIRA’s 2014 Factbook. While these figures may not be 100% accurate, they definitely highlight the importance of creating a website for your small business in case you do not have one.
Reportedly, over 74% of Canadians research for products (and likely services) online before deciding to make purchases. The average Canadian supposedly visited over 100 web pages per day in 2013 and nearly 37% of Canadians used mobile devices regularly. With smart phones on the rise, this number only looks likely to increase.
Given the increasing consumption of internet content, and the need for businesses to create a social media presence online, it seems almost necessary for small businesses to have a website in today’s digital age.
